    The history of the MÜNCH MAMMUT 2000

    In 1997, businessman Thomas Petsch, from Würzburg, purchased all rights to the brand MÜNCH. He started the MUENCH Mammut 2000 project and showed, that even a small team can bring about top performances in the area of motorbike technology. Under the roof of the MUENCH MOTORRAD TECHNIK GmbH, 250 MUENCH Mammut 2000 should have been built, so that the machine could become the strongest miniseries motorbike.

    Based on a modified 2-litre turbo-engine, the strongest but also most expensive manufactured machine of modern time was created. To make spectacular and courageous decisions at any time as well as shaping the future are ideas that keep to the spirit of Friedel Münch. Due to the high costs of production, only 15 machines were built from 2000 until 2002.

    Until now, the MUENCH Mammut 2000 is the strongest serial production motorbike in the world.

    Under the roof of the MUENCH MOTORRAD TECHNIK GmbH, 250 MUENCH Mammut 2000 should have been built, so that the machine could become the strongest miniseries motorbike.     The MAMMUT returns tells the story of the little Thomas Petsch, who dreamed of the MÜNCH MAMMUT at the age of eight on the school playground. More than 30 years later Thomas Petsch meets Friedel Münch, the manufacturer of his childhood dream. Together they decide to bring back the Mammut to life and to build a motorbike that the world has never seen before: The MUENCH Mammut 2000. In this film she is alive, driving and thundering. Her story is more than that of a usual motorbike. It is a modern fairytale about visions, dreamers and a 260 PS strong childhood dream turned steel.
